Want a great way to see Santa Barbara and taste wine at the same time? We will escort you to 3 wineries here in the city as well as an olive oil and vinegar tasting. Along the way we'll stop and grab a bite to eat at a local restaurant.(Not included in the price.) We include door-to-door transportation from anywhere in Santa Barbara including hotels, rental houses and even the train station!! While this tour doesn't go into the vineyards, it is perfect for groups who are on a tight schedule or who want to be close to downtown to keep the fun going! Our most popular tour and an experience you will never forget! This town and country tour will escort out of Santa Barbara and through the Los Padres National Forest, offering amazing views of mountains, lakes and sprawling hills. Along the way we visit the historical Cold Springs Tavern, an original stage coach stop built in the 1870s. Afterward, we will head into wine country, visiting 2 estate wineries before heading to an olive oil and vinegar tasting at an actual olive farm. We then head into the famous wine country towns of Solvang, Los Olivos and Santa Ynez for yet another wine tasting and a bite to eat at Trattoria Grappolo. (Lunch not included in the price.) As we return to Santa Barbara you will be treated to breathtaking views as we descend the mountain while overlooking the ocean, the islands and the American Riviera.
The price includes door to door transportation, as well as all tasting fees. We start this tour between 9:00 & 9:30 and drop back off around 4:00 & 4:30. This is a one of a kind experience for those looking for that "special" day. Captain Jack guarantees it!

These premier, exclusive wineries only invite serious wine lovers. The Santa Rita Hills were the inspiration for new wineries after prohibition and played a large part in the advancement of Pinot Noir! Similar to the Rhone region in France this area was replanted in the 1960's and continues to this day as a premier area for Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay and Sauvigon Blanc. This is one of our premiuim wine tours, and as such is focused almost entirley on the wine. If you are planning a bachelorette or birthday party, we encourage you to look at our other wine tours. With such pioneer winemakers as Pierre Lafond, Bill Foley and Richard Sanford the Santa Rita Hills produces world class wine.
During the tour we will visit 4 estate vineyards while passing through rolling hills, walnut orchards and gorgeous countryside. These winieries are known for their beauty as well as their wine, so bring a camera! We will stop for lunch throughout the day before escorting you back along the coast to pour you back to Santa Barbara.

This tour will visit many of the prominent sites featured in the movie Sideways and is one of our premium wine tours. Retrace Jack and Miles' journey with visits to:
- Lafond Winery - Set in the countryside where their adventure begins.
- Firestone Winery - Miles, Jack, Maya & Stephanie sneak out of a winery tour to walk through the barrel room.
- Fess Parker Winery - Known as “Frass Canyon” in the film, the site where Miles guzzles the spit bucket.
- Lincourt Vineyard - Set along Miles and Jack's path to the famous town of Los Olivos.
Our guides will fill in the day with facts about wine, the Santa Ynez Valley, and most importantly tid bits about the movie. We will also stop at an Ostrich Farm where you will get a chance to feed the ostriches! At the end of the day we stop head to dinner at the Hitching Post, Miles' favorite restaurant, and where his love interest begins. Santa Barbara County may be known for it's wine, but that's not the only locally-produced beverage receiving raves. The region's micro-breweries give beer lovers a tasting trail of their own. You'll enjoy tastings at 3 of the area's micro breweries. On the south side, Carpinteria is home to the Island Brewing Company production facility and tasting room. In Santa Barbara, The Brew House and Union Ale are lively, full service restaurants pouring their own beer as well as international brews and Figueroa Brewing is one of the area's newest hot spots in the heart of the Funk Zone. The tour includes all beer tasting fees and transportation. At one of the stops you'll be given time to enjoy a great lunch.

Our $65 trail ride is Kim Kardashian's favorite ride!. This coastal ride is 1.5 hours long and is a 30 minute drive from Santa Barbara. For this ride you will wind through a forest, past a seasonal waterfall, and up to the top of a mountain where you will have beautiful ocean views. This 2.5 - 3 hour guided Santa Barbara kayak tour is an extension of our Harbor kayak tour. Our professionally guided tour includes a kayak lesson/briefing, all kayak gear and paddles. The coastal tour offers breathtaking views of Santa Barbara's famous "Riviera Coast". Tour starts at the Harbor and paddles south along the coast before turning around and returning to the Harbor. Kayaking, Horseback Riding, and Wine Tasting
Get along little doggies and hold on to your hats! Experience the beauty of the Central Coast on this full day tour. Captain Jack's Tours is proud to offer this unique adventure to visitors of the central coast. Your day will begin with a guided kayak tour of the famous "Smugglers Cove" and the Gaviota Coast, one of the last unincorporated areas of the California Coastline. Chances are good the locals will show up to greet you. Dolphins, California sea lions, harbor seal, and the migratory Grey Whale may cruise by (in the distance) to say hello.
Next, you'll be transported to a secluded resort nestled between a babbling brook and evergreen sycamore trees where you'll enjoy a delicious lunch (lunch not included in price).
Following lunch, you will experience a breathtaking horseback ride (no experience necessary). After a brief orientation, our wranglers will guide you on our trail which winds through shaded canyons, crosses over a stream several times (most of the year), and makes its way to the top of a mountain where you will have stunning ocean and valley views. Riders for our guided trail rides must be at least 7 years old.
Then, the finish to a perfect day, wine tasting as you review the day's activities. You'll visit 2 local winery tasting rooms where you will have a chance to taste some premium Santa Barbara County wines.

This 50' Catamaran offers 1400 square feet of deck space and the multi hull construction makes her comfortable, stable & safe. You'll find plenty of room for you and your guest or a large party. Get ready for a totally new experience unlike anything you've ever tried. The Segway HT is perfect for touring Santa Barbara. Choose from 4 guided segway tours (prices vary) taking place daily. Looking for inspiration?? Come join us for a glass of wine and an open canvas! This painting class is 2 hours long and includes all the neccesary materials —a 16" x 20" canvas, paint, brushes, easels and aprons as well as a glass of house wine (or other beverage) with each registration. Feel free to follow along with the instructor or paint your hearts desire! Along with the included drink, additional items are available for purchase including wines by the glass or bottle,champagne, mimosas, beer, soda, juice and even beautiful Cheese and Charcutierie Plates, catered by L'Apero. Santa Barbara's world class paragliding hill offers one day lessons for participants 11 years old and up with no prior experience necessary. This is a sport where you get to start having fun right away. Participants will practice ground control by jogging with the paraglider over head getting a feel for the steering controls. After a few practice runs its time to take your first flight under radio supervision. People have been traveling from all over the world to fly at Santa Barbara's unique paragliding training location for over 20 years. The van will pick you up in the landing zone after each flight, and take you back to the launch at the top of the paragliding bunny hill for multiple flights as you take in the view of the Pacific Ocean and the Channel Islands.
This is an intimate group activity where everyone will spend the day together enjoying a truly unique experience. Participants will enjoy the panoramic views during the lunch break and use the experience gained during the morning flying to build their skills for the afternoon flying. Most participants are simply amazed they are able to launch, fly, and land the world's most evolutionary aircraft many times on their very first day.
