$50 Santa Barbara Wine Tasting Tour
Includes all Wine Tasting Fees and Transportation

We offer a fun Santa Barbara wine tasting experience. We'll escort you to 3 wine tasting destinations in one of our comfortable SUVs or vans. You'll enjoy tastings at 3 of the following locations: Summerland Winery tasting room, Carr Winery, Oreana Winery, Kalyra tasting room, Santa Barbara Winery, Kunin, or Municipal Winemakers. We will also stop at Il Fustino for an olive oil & vinegar tasting. The tour includes a stop for lunch at the Bay Roadhouse, Jills Place or Pierre Lafond Bistro (not included in price). This tour does not go into the Santa Ynez Valley, so we do not see vineyards. This tour starts between 11:00 & 11:30 and usually gets done around 4:00/4:30.

This is an experience you will never forget! You will visit three wineries, vineyards and tasting rooms while travelling through some of the most breathtaking countryside you'll ever see in one of our comfortable SUVs or vans. You'll also visit Cold Spring Tavern, an original stage coach stop built in the 1860s. The price includes all transportation with door to door service, as well as all your tasting fees. The tour also includes an olive oil and vinegar tasting, which for many of our guests is the highlight of the day. The tour starts between 9:00 & 9:30 and ends between 4:00 & 4:30. During the day we will stop for lunch at Trattoria Grappolo or the Los Olivos Cafe where you can buy yourself a delicious lunch. This is a one of a kind experience for those looking for that "special" day. Captain Jack guarantees it!

Santa Rita Hills Wine Tour

These premier, exclusive wineries only invite serious wine lovers. If you are planning a bachelorette or birthday party, we encourage you to look at our other 2 wine tours. Your day will begin at Foley Estates Vineyard and Winery. Foley Estates is the realization of winemaker Bill Foley's dream to produce world class Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in Santa Barbara County. Your next stop will be Melville, a beautiful two-story winery that resembles a romantic Mediterranean Villa, set within a landscape of lavender bushes, poplar, oak, and sycamore trees. While enjoying your glass of fine Pinot Noir, you will be seated in an exquisite tasting room, encased by French doors, overlooking a beautiful garden setting. After your stop at Melville you'll have lunch at La Purisima Golf Course (not included in price). Following lunch, you will be escorted to Lafond Winery and Vineyards. In 1962 Pierre Lafond opened the first winery in Santa Barbara County since prohibition, and continues to produce world-class wines to this day. Your final stop will be at Alma Rosa winery & vineyards. Richard Sanford was one of the first to plant Pinot Noir vines in the Santa Rita Hills and Alma Rosa is known for their organic farming and sustainable agriculture practices-- and some of the best Pinot Noir in the world! Captain Jack's "Sideways" Wine Tour

This tour will visit many of the prominent sites featured in the movie Sideways. Retrace Jack and Miles' journey with visits to:
- Fess Parker Winery - Known as “Frass Canyon” in the film, the site where Miles guzzles the spit bucket
- Firestone Winery - Miles, Jack, Maya & Stephanie sneak out of a winery tour to walk through the barrel room
- Alma Rosa - Miles introduces Jack to the basics of wine tasting
- Kalyra - Where Miles and Jack meet Stephanie (Sandra Oh)
Our guides will fill in the day with facts about the wine, the area, and most importantly the different scenes from the movie. We will also stop at the Ostrich Farm shown in the movie, where you will get a chance to feed the ostriches! At the end of the day we will stop for dinner at the Hitching Post, Miles' favorite restaurant, where you can buy yourself a delicious dinner (not included in price). The tour includes all tasting fees at 4 wineries as well as round trip transportation from anywhere in Santa Barbara or Santa Ynez. Tour ends approximately 7:30pm.
Santa Barbara Beer Tasting Tour

Santa Barbara County may be known for it's wine, but that's not the only locally-produced beverage receiving raves. The region's micro-breweries give beer lovers a tasting trail of their own. You'll enjoy tastings at 3 of the area's micro breweries. On the south side, Carpinteria is home to the Island Brewing Company production facility and tasting room. In Santa Barbara, The Brew House and Union Ale are lively, full service restaurants pouring their own beer as well as international brews. The tour includes all beer tasting fees and transportation. At one of the stops you'll be given time to enjoy a great lunch.
Horseback Riding Tours
$45 trail ride (1 hour), $60 trail ride (1.5 hours)
We have 2 options for horseback riding: Our $45 ride is 1 hour long and takes place in Santa Ynez, a 45 minute drive from Santa Barbara. Our second trail ride is $60 (Kim Kardashian's favorite ride!). This coastal ride is 1.5 hours long and is a 30 minute drive from Santa Barbara. For this ride you will wind through a forest, past a seasonal waterfall, and up to the top of a mountain where you will have beautiful ocean views. Horseback Riding and Wine Tasting Tour
$175 per person or 2 for $300
The day begins with a beautiful horseback ride that winds through the forests, up to the top of the mountain where you will have spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, the channel islands, and the hills and valleys. Next you will enjoy lunch at the historic "Cold Spring Tavern", which used to be a stage coach stop in the 19th century (lunch not included in price). Following lunch, we will head into the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley, where you will enjoy wine tasting at 2 of the regions top wineries while taking in the beautiful scenery. We also have a surprise stop at Global Gardens in Los Olivos. Captain Jack's will then return you back to Santa Barbara.

Daily @ 10:30 and 1:30Captain Jacks Santa Barbara Tours conducts guided 1.5 - 2 hour kayak tours of the Santa Barbara Harbor at 10:30 & 1:30 daily. Experience California's most beautiful harbor on this fun and easy tour. Our professionally guided tour includes a kayak lesson/briefing, all kayak gear and paddles. This tour is the perfect introduction to kayaking and is fun for the entire family. Your tour starts at the boat launch, winds through the harbor, under Stearns Wharf, and out to the one mile buoy. Chances are good the locals will show up to greet you. Dolphin, California sea lions, and harbor seals may cruise by to say hello.
Coastal Kayak Tour
$75 per person (2 person minimum)
This 2.5 - 3 hour guided Santa Barbara kayak tour is an extension of our Harbor kayak tour. Our professionally guided tour includes a kayak lesson/briefing, all kayak gear and paddles. The coastal tour offers breathtaking views of Santa Barbara's famous "Riviera Coast". Tour starts at the Harbor and paddles south along the coast before turning around and returning to the Harbor. Hopefully the locals, dolphin, sea lion, harbor seals and marine birds will stop by to say hello. Too much fun! We provide snacks, water, towels, and even a plastic bag to store your wet clothes will be provided.

The ultimate kayaking experience! Enjoy an exciting day at Anacapa Island. Most island kayak trips take you to Scorpion's Bay on Santa Cruz Island and it has the feel of Disneyland on a busy summer day. Kayaking at Anacapa Island provides the perfect environment for you to get up close and personal with nature. Isolation over thousands of years has created unique animals, plants, and archeological resources found nowhere else on Earth and helped preserve a place where visitors can experience coastal southern California as it once was. Your friendly, knowledgeable and experienced guides will help you navigate through a spectacular day of exploring sea caves, coves, and the rugged Anacapa coast.
This trip is perfect for beginners and advanced kayakers alike. Tour includes a kayak lesson and all kayak gear including helmet. Round-trip island transportation is also included. Approximate length of this tour is 8am - 5pm, however times will vary according to boat schedule. Minimum age is 18 years or older. We reserve the right to change the location of the kayaking depending on the weather.
Romantic Sunset Sailing Cruise

The perfect way to end your day in Santa Barbara. You'll experience a fun and exciting cruise while enjoying beautiful views of the coast and the channel islands. This 50' Catamaran offers 1400 square feet of deck space and the multi hull construction makes her comfortable, stable & safe. You'll find plenty of room for you and your guest or a large party. On board you'll find a beer, wine and soda bar. Light snacks and restrooms are on hand for your convenience.

Private Sailing Cruise

Captain Jack's favorite! Enjoy a beautiful sunset cruise on a private skippered yacht. Your skipper will be entirely at your command as you pick your destination. Find out why Santa Barbara is known as the "American Riviera" as you enjoy the sunset and the sparkling lights of the city. The price includes 2 hours on a private yacht. Cruise duration can be extended and does not necessarily need to go out at sunset. Please call us for more information.
Segway Sight Seeing Tours
$90, $100, $110 or $130 / 7 days a week (2 person minimum)
Get ready for a totally new experience unlike anything you've ever tried. The Segway HT is perfect for touring Santa Barbara. Choose from 4 guided segway tours (prices vary) taking place daily. Your guide will cover the history of Santa Barbara as well as some of the more current points of interest along the way. Tours are offered every day by reservation only. All tours include a lesson and all necessary gear. Renters must be 14 years or older. Call for more information and availability.
Guided ATV Tour
Single-rider ATV: $120 per person, Two person ATV: $185, Four person ATV: $295
This guided ATV tour is offered at 10am, 12:30pm and 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays only. Tours last approximately 2.5 hours.
The tour takes place on one of the oldest working cattle ranches in the Santa Ynez Valley and offers fantastic views of the central coast, the valley, and the pacific ocean. The ranch consists of 2,000 acres of diverse terrain and unique landscapes, ranging from dense forest to chaparral to rocky mountaintops. The trail consists of multiple creek crossings and it is possible to see a variety of wildlife including domestic cattle, deer, foxes, numerous birds and other wildlife. This picturesque yet challenging ride is designed with your safety in mind and is a great way to experience the central coast while having fun at the same time.
This is a family-friendly tour and guests of all ages (5 years old and up) are invited to participate. You must be 16 years old to drive your own ATV, and younger guests can ride as passengers. Riding instruction and practice are provided on all tours. Along the trail guides will stop to provide additional instructions specific to the terrain. Helmets are required and will be provided.
Whale Watching

Santa Barbara is the #1 whale watching destination in the world. Over 27 different types of whales and dolphins inhabit the Santa Barbara channel at different times of the year, making these waters the best whale watching area in the entire world. This 4.5 hour trip takes place on a 75-foot catamaran capable of traveling at over 28 knots and can reach Santa Barbara's Channel Islands in less than an hour, allowing guests to get deeper out to sea, in less time, and have a better chance of seeing marine life.
Deep Sea Fishing

Join us for a fun-filled deep sea sport fishing trip! This 65’ boat has a full galley, three large bait tanks, and a custom sun deck. It is the largest, fastest, cleanest half-day fishing boat in the Santa Barbara harbor and is the perfect choice for a casual trip with friends, or a serious saltwater outing. Rods, bait, tackle and fishing licenses can be provided at an extra charge.
Private Charter Sport Fishing
$675 flat rate - 5 hour trip - 6 person maximum
Hop aboard this 26' Milagro-Ocean boat for your own private fishing excursion! Whether your want to head out to Santa Barbara's channel islands or cruise along the Gaviota coast, your experienced captain will help you locate the best fishing spots. The boat is fully outfitted with GPS & radar, and all necessary fishing equipment will be provided. While fishing for halibut, yellowtail, white sea bass, shallow water rockfish, and ling cod you may also spot a variety of sea life including whales and dolphins. 3/4 and full day trips are also available, please call for details.
Lake Fishing at Cachuma Lake

Located just 25 miles north of beautiful Santa Barbara in the picturesque wine country of Santa Ynez Valley, Cachuma Lake boasts a protected natural habitat complete with diverse wildlife. The lake itself is teeming with fish. Because of its aquatic plant beds, trees and stick-ups, rocky drop-offs, and shallow flats, large and smallmouth bass, rainbow trout, red-ear sunfish, channel catfish, crappie and bluegill abound.
Glider Ride
$135 per person (Saturdays and Sundays only)
This is a truly magical experience that you will never forget! This 15 minute flight will guide you around the Santa Ynez Valley, one of the most picturesque gliding areas in the country. We are surrounded by mountainous national forests, beautiful Lake Cachuma and the valley itself is dotted with vineyards and world class horse facilities. Once above the Santa Ynez mountains, you will be able to see the Pacific Ocean on one side and the Santa Ynez Valley on the other. A glider is an engineless aircraft, meaning there will be no noise once you are up in the air. This is the best way to see the valley!
Paragliding
$210 per person

Santa Barbara's world class paragliding hill offers one day lessons for participants 11 years old and up with no prior experience necessary. This is a sport where you get to start having fun right away. Participants will practice ground control by jogging with the paraglider over head getting a feel for the steering controls. After a few practice runs its time to take your first flight under radio supervision. People have been traveling from all over the world to fly at Santa Barbara's unique paragliding training location for over 20 years. The van will pick you up in the landing zone after each flight, and take you back to the launch at the top of the paragliding bunny hill for multiple flights as you take in the view of the Pacific Ocean and the Channel Islands.
This is an intimate group activity where everyone will spend the day together enjoying a truly unique experience. Participants will enjoy the panoramic views during the lunch break and use the experience gained during the morning flying to build their skills for the afternoon flying. Most participants are simply amazed they are able to launch, fly, and land the world's most evolutionary aircraft many times on their very first day. Heaven on Earth Kayaking & Horseback Riding

This tour combines an ocean kayak tour at the beautiful and famous "smugglers cove" (Refugio Beach) in the morning, where chances are good that the locals will show up to greet you. Dolphins, sea lions, and the migratory Grey Whale may cruise by (in the distance) to say hello. Next, you'll be transported to a secluded resort nestled between a babbling brook and evergreen sycamore trees where you'll enjoy a delicious lunch (lunch not included in price).
After lunch, back into the transport, and off to one of the most breathtaking, scenic guided horseback rides on earth. This ride features spectacular oceans views throughout the ride. Your day will begin with a beautiful 2 hr kayak tour of the Santa Barbara Harbor (no previous experience needed). Next you'll be escorted to Santa Barbara's wine country, the Santa Ynez Valley. There you will experience our "Scenic Flight" as you and your FAA certified pilot climb to 2500 ft. above the lower ridges of the Santa Ynez Coastal Mountain Range. You'll see Lake Cachuma, the Santa Barbara coastline, and by special request, the Reagan Ranch. Your 2nd stop will be to enjoy lunch at the area's most famous restaurant "Cold Spring Tavern". Built in the 1860's "The Tavern" was originally a "STAGE COACH STOP". A historical must see and some good eatin' too! In addition to delicious sandwiches, salad & soups, "The Tavern" offers Buffalo Burgers, Venison Steak Sandwiches, and many other interesting choices…too much fun! (price of lunch not included).
Then, the finish to a perfect day, wine tasting as you review the day's activities. You'll visit two of the region's top wineries for wine tasting. Our first visit will be at the Gainey Vineyard which is surrounded by 85 acres of premium vineyards, rolling hills and gracious oaks. At this Spanish style tasting room you'll enjoy Gainey's great wines and leave with a souvenir wine glass. At Gainey you will be given a tour of wine making at its finest.

Get along little doggies and hold on to your hats! Experience the beauty of the Central Coast on this full day tour. Captain Jack's Tours is proud to offer this unique adventure to visitors of the central coast. Your day will begin with a guided kayak tour of the famous "Smugglers Cove" and the Gaviota Coast, one of the last unincorporated areas of the California Coastline. Chances are good the locals will show up to greet you. Dolphins, California sea lions, harbor seal, and the migratory Grey Whale may cruise by (in the distance) to say hello.
Next, you'll be transported to a secluded resort nestled between a babbling brook and evergreen sycamore trees where you'll enjoy a delicious lunch (lunch not included in price).
Following lunch, you will experience a breathtaking horseback ride (no experience necessary). After a brief orientation, our wranglers will guide you on our trail which winds through shaded canyons, crosses over a stream several times (most of the year), and makes its way to the top of a mountain where you will have stunning ocean and valley views. Riders for our guided trail rides must be at least 7 years old.
Then, the finish to a perfect day, wine tasting as you review the day's activities. You'll visit 2 coastal wineries where you will have a chance to taste some premium Santa Barbara County wines.
